Here’s what you need to know about Delaware CLE rules and requirements as a newly admitted attorney.

Delaware Newly Admitted CLE Requirements at a Glance

Total Credits: 24 credit hours every 2 years, including:

CLE Deadline: Every 2 years by December 31st

Additional Requirement for New Attorneys: 7 Fundamental courses, offered by the Delaware State Bar Association (counts as part of the 24 credits above)

Deadline: By December 31st of the fourth year after the requirement begins. 

Carry Over Credit: Attorneys may carry over 20 credits into the next reporting period. Ethics credit can be carried over as general CLE credits.

Reporting: Deadline is March 31st. Lawline reports credits for Delaware.
